Build safety training that helps teams go home safe.
We are a small simulation team at VR and AR Labs Pvt Ltd, applying defence-grade fidelity to the everyday hazards of industrial work. If that mission resonates, we'd like to hear from you.
Why work here
Most software makes a process slightly more efficient. The work here is different: when a worker has rehearsed a confined-space rescue or a fire response correctly, under pressure, in VR before the real event, the payoff is measured in injuries that never happen. We build defence-grade simulation pointed at the factory floor — accurate physics, real consequence for error, honestly scored performance — and turn every drill into evidence a safety team can defend to an auditor.
We are a small, senior team that ships, stays close to real industrial sites, and cares more about whether a scenario actually transfers to the floor than about how it demos. You can see the result across our VR safety training modules and read where we come from on the about page.
The kinds of people we look for
We hire in focused bursts rather than running a permanent job board — but we always want to meet strong people in these areas.
Real-time 3D / simulation engineers
Unreal or Unity engineers who can model physics-driven hazards, scoring logic and multiplayer drills with defence-grade fidelity.
3D & technical artists
Artists who build true-to-life industrial environments — plants, refineries, sites — that hold up to scrutiny in a headset.
Safety SMEs & instructional designers
EHS practitioners who know real procedures, regulations and how competence is actually assessed on a hazardous site.
Go-to-market & partnerships
People who can explain provable competence to EHS and operations leaders, and build relationships across industrial India.
How to reach us
There is no long application form. Email hello@drillxr.com with the subject line “Careers”, tell us which area fits you, and — most importantly — link to something you have actually built or done: a 3D scene, a prototype, a safety programme you ran, a deck you wrote. A short, specific note beats a long generic CV every time.
We read every message and reply to the ones we want to take further. Speculative applications are genuinely welcome; some of the best hires reach out before a role is ever posted. If you would rather start a conversation first, the contact page reaches the same team.
Careers FAQs
Do you have open roles right now?
We are an early-stage team and hire in focused bursts rather than running a constant job board. Even when a specific role is not posted, we always want to hear from strong people in the areas above — timing often works out.
Are roles remote or on-site?
We are India-based and value time close to the industrial sites we serve, so most roles involve a mix of in-person collaboration and site exposure. We are pragmatic about arrangements for the right person.
Do you take freshers or interns?
Yes, for genuinely exceptional people. If you are early in your career but can show real work — a 3D scene, a gameplay prototype, a safety project — that matters far more to us than years on a CV.
There's no role that fits me exactly. Should I still write?
Yes. If you are excited about making industrial safety provable and can point to something you have built, send a short note and a link to your work. We read every message.
Think you should be on this team?
